A cosmic scene representing God’s power holding the universe together through His Word.

Not Today, satan!

The Word of His Power

Scripture tells us that Jesus upholds the universe by the word of His power. That single statement reframes how we see everything.

The stars don’t move on their own. The oceans don’t cross their boundaries by accident. The moon governs the night, the sun burns, and the atmosphere holds—all because God spoke, and His Word still stands. The entire universe is sustained not by chance, but by His power-filled Word.

This leads to a simple but life-shaping truth: if God’s Word holds the universe together, it can hold us together too.

God’s power isn’t limited by time, space, or human understanding. It extends beyond this world and beyond what we can see. Nothing compares to it. That reality matters when we face situations that feel impossible—illness, lack, addiction, fear, brokenness, or failure.

No circumstance has the authority to overrule God. When He sends His Word with purpose, nothing can stop it. His Word is backed by His power, and His power carries all authority. Whatever satan has planned, it is no match to our God.

So when God speaks into your life, stand on it. His Word will accomplish exactly what He sent it to do. May our hearts echo Mary’s response of faith: “Let it be to me according to Your Word.”
