He Sees You

April 11, 20252 min read

Scripture Focus:
"You are the God who sees me." — Genesis 16:13

Moving Forward:
Do you ever feel forgotten or overlooked? Even in a crowd full of people you know, it’s possible to feel like no one truly sees you—like no one really cares about what you're going through. Life can get lonely, especially in the middle of a crisis when you’re unsure how you’re going to make it through.

This loneliness can feel even heavier in today’s world of social media. The very tool that was meant to connect us often leaves us feeling more disconnected after one of those late-night scrolls. We see people smiling, celebrating accomplishments, winning championships, and holding trophies. Our screens glow brightly as we watch friends travel to exotic places, meet famous people, or score big in the stock market.

Meanwhile, we sit there feeling detached, lonely, and unseen.

But our verse today reminds us that God sees us. He is never far off. He’s present in every moment and fully aware of our situation. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

I want to encourage you today: Listen for His voice.
To hear it, you may need to quiet the noise—but I promise you, He’s there.

And when you do pause, you may hear Him say something like:

  • I will never leave you or forsake you.

  • I am for you—and if I am for you, who can be against you?

  • I am proud of you. I see you as My child.

  • You are the apple of My eye. I will protect you and keep you.

Today, slow down and listen.

His Word is waiting to resonate with you.
Trust Him. Trust His Word. Hear His voice. He sees you right where you are—and He isn’t going anywhere.

Challenge Question:
Do you ever feel lonely and unseen? What do you do when you get overwhelmed with those feelings?

Journal Prompt:
Which of the statements above resonated the most with you? Why?

Additional Scriptures:

  • Psalm 34:15

  • Ps. 46:1

  • Luke 12:6–7

Prayer:
God, I feel invisible right now. The situation that I'm in seems so overwhelming. I'm lonely, and I don't feel like most people understand what I'm going through. But, I look to you, the author and the finisher of my faith. I thank you that you are right here, right now. Help me. Guide Me. Protect me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
