Scripture Focus:
"Be not weary in well-doing for in due season you will reap if you faint not." — Galatians 6:9

Moving Forward:
There are two difficult realities we face in the pursuit of greatness. One is getting started. The second is not giving up. Today, I want to focus on staying the course in life. One of the primary reasons for unfulfilled dreams and dashed hopes is one’s unwillingness to get up each day and go again. Remaining in the fight is sometimes the biggest battle we face. I want to encourage you not to give up. Consider these points each time you want to quit:

  • God is faithful to finish what He started.

You shouldn’t give up because God is not going to give up on you. When your faith wanes, lean on His strength.

  • Each day you remain committed gets you one step closer to the prize.

There is no neutral ground. You are either moving forward or falling back. Every day you take action even when you are tired, weary, or struggling to find hope - every day you get back up and go again you move closer to the goal.

  • You are closer than you think you are.

Often, your reward is just around the corner. Many people give up without realizing there is only one more phone call, one more transaction, one more day before their situation changes. Stay the course!

  • Fear is designed to shut doors. Faith is designed to unlock them.

Zig Ziglar popularized the quote, “FEAR is merely False Evidence that Appears Real.” Fear is most often not based on facts but rather assumptions, which are fueled by lies the enemy puts in our minds. Choose to live by faith today, not fear.

When you want to quit, remember that people are relying on you to keep going. God has placed a divine purpose in you. Your assignment is to unlock greatness in the earth. You are called of God. You are special. You have amazing things left to do. Move forward today knowing that if God is for you, who can be against you? Go and finish strong!

Challenge Question:
Are you contemplating giving up? Are you overwhelmed by weariness or fearfulness?

Journal Prompt:
Write down 5 reasons why you can’t quit. Those reasons might include a mission that you are responsbility, people in your life, or a responsibility that you have to fulfill. Next, write down 5 ways God has shown He is faithful to you.

Additional Scriptures:

  • Philippians 1:6

  • Philippians 3:12-14

  • Romans 8:31, 37

Prayer:
God, I am tired. I am tired of trying. Nevertheless, I put my trust in your faithfulness. I commit to get up every morning and believe that you will complete that which you started in me. I will not quit. I will not give up. Thank you for being with me. I know that your promises will be fulfilled. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
