Day 7: The Secret of Being Alone
Scripture Focus:
"But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." — Matthew 6:6
Moving Forward:
Let’s be real—our world is LOUD. From the moment we wake up, everything is competing for our attention. Millions are spent every year trying to hijack our focus. But here’s the truth: whatever captures your attention will shape your direction.
Think about the phrase, “pay attention”? It’s not just a figure of speech—it’s reality that is revealing something. What you PAY attention to costs you something. When you choose to focus on one thing, you’re automatically choosing to ignore something else. So the question is: what are you paying for with your attention? Are you losing time with the Father so you can spend time with the world? And if you aren’t spending time with the Master, what secrets are you missing, what Word are not hearing that could change everything, how much is NOT being built as you focus on dream killers?
Here’s what I’ve learned: breakthrough doesn’t always happen in the crowd—it can begin in the secret place. If you want to shift something in your life, you’ve got to silence the noise and lean in to the whisper of God. You can’t carry heaven’s power while tuning into earth’s chaos.
When you step into that quiet place and lock eyes with the unseen God, everything changes. You align your heart with heaven. You unlock clarity. You activate divine downloads. The secret place is the place where heaven meets earth. That’s where the unseen God shows up and does the impossible.
Challenge Question:
How much time have you spent alone with the Father?
Journal Prompt:
This week, spend some private time with God. Turn off your phone. Close the door. Listen. Be ready to write as you hear instructions from the Father.
Additional Scriptures:
Psalm 91:1
Mark 1:35
Luke 5:16, 6:12, 9:18
Prayer:
Father, open my eyes to find you in the secret place. Give me courage to shut out the noise so I can hear your small, still voice. Speak to me. Let Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name.
